Oregonian February 26, 1893
Mr.Charles L.Lathrop gave a party on honor of his 17th birthday at his 
home,660 Washington Street,on Tuesday evening.Games and music were the 
features. Refreshments were served at 10 o'clock.The birthday cake was 
encircled with 17 candles.In the "Tailless Donkey" Miss Alfie Bills won the 
first prize and Miss Ethel Murton the booby
