W.M.Brown Arrested After Being A Fugitive From Justice For Years
W.M.Brown,after being a fugitive from justice for nearly three years,finds 
himself behind prison ars. He wa slanded in the county jail yesterday by 
Deputy Sheriff Sinnott.
Brown for a long time traveled through the Northwaest as reprentative of the 
firm of D.M.Osborne & Co.In the spriing of 1890 he returned from a trip and 
made his report to headquarters. In this he charged the firm with $105 
expenses. Later his employers ascertained that he had ot psent this amonht on 
thier account,but used it himself. They then sowre out a warrant charging him 
with embezzlement. The officers started outon their chase,and succeeded in 
arresting aman named W.M.Brown and locked him up in jail.This fact was 
published in the newspapers next mornign,but when the represantatives fromt 
hefrim were called upon to identify the prisoner,they pronounced him to be the 
wrong man and he was released. Meantime the real culprit had read o fthe 
trouble he had gotten himself into and cleared out.Nothing was heard of him 
until afew days ago,when it was ascertained that he was at Gran'ts Station in 
Sherman county,buying wheat for Balfour,Guthrie& CO.Deputy Sheriff Sinnott wne 
tafter him MOnday and returend yesterday.Browns bonds were fixed at $500 and 
being unable ot furnish this amount,he went to jail to await examination 
tomorrow.
