The county sues for $820, the value of a bridge leading from Farmington to Hillsboro, which, it is alleged, was partly destroyed in August 1891. Hare was clearing some land adjacent to the bridge and, so the complaint asserts, neglected to gaurd his fire, which spread and consumed a portion of the structure. The change of venue was granted by Judge McBride, of the Fifth district, because the complaint was drawn by him during his term as district attorney.
