Judge Munly has ordered that the deposition of Henry Marshall, a witness in the case against Henry Meyer, be taken, as he is about to leave the city on business. The case of E.W. Lester, an architect, against Jacobina Elwert for $825 for professional services rendered, was on trial before Judge Hurley yesterday, and at the hour of adjournment was continued until today. Louis Dammasch, executor of the estate of Curt von Otterstadt, deceased, has been granted permission by the county court to sue Mutual Life Insurance Company, of New York, for $5000 due on a policy held by the deceased. The company refused payment on the policy, asserting that it had been forfeited because of non payment of premiums.
