Morning Oregonian August 2, 1904
An action of divorce was begun yesterday in the Circuit Court by Mavel Staley, 
against her husband,Harvey J.Staley,charging him with desertion.The couple 
were married at Hoquiam,Wash.,in April 1900,and about that time Mrs.Staley 
says her husband deserted her without cause. There are no living children of 
the union or property involved.
