The principal injury was in his right arm and hand, which are still badly swollen. When the shot was discharged at him he was not more than 40 feet from where the assailant was standing. Seeley would have been instantly killed,but the branches of a tree through which the charge was fired. It will be some time yet before Mr. Seeley will be fully recovered. His three assailants were held to appear before the grand jury.
