The engagement of Miss Mabel Ella White, of Arlington,Or., to Captain Charles Jordan, of Astoria,is announced. The wedding will take place at the home of Captain and Mrs.Peter Jordan in Astoria on Monday, October 3. No cards. The engagement of Miss Lillie Hexter and Mr. Lawrence Strause is announced. They will receive next Sunday from 2 to 6 o'clock at the home of Mrs.Louis Hexter,192 Twelfth street. Mr. and mrs.
