The verdict concluded as follows: Dr.Lee Sing Nom was struck a violent blow by some person unkown to the jury, and his death was caused by a fracture of the back part of the skull, which was the result of falling heavily on some sharp object." The testimony brought to light at the inquest was the same as has been published in interviews with eyewitnesses of the assault. The only new point was furnished by Charles Braddock, who testified that after striking the Chinaman, the assassin said"Let's get out of this before we kill some more of the ..." New evidence was gained last night in regard to the case, bit it cannot be made public at present. The men implicated in the murder are known to another individual who came forward yesterday and gave his information to a member of the detective force who has not been assigned to the case. The detective is now gathering damaging evidence and an arrest may follow. While the true story of the assault will compare, when it is made public,in some circumstances with the theory entertained by the detectives in the case, which has been published,a slight motive has been discovered for the crime through the statement of the eyewitness who gave his story to the deective yesterday. The man who struck Lee Sing Nom did so because he was angry at the Chinaman for frustrating certain plans. He was partially intoxicated at the time. The reason for the disappearance of the assassin when he turned west on Ankeny street will also be explained when the true state of affairs is made public.
