The young man,who was well and favorably known in Portland,was born and raised here and was only 30 years of age.He had been connected with the Pacific Lumber Export Company for a number of years,during which time his advancement had been rapid and his prospects were brighter and more promising than is usual with men of his age.He had traveled extensively in the Orient in the Company's interests,returning from one of these trips only four months ago.John Brady,the father, had reached his 70th year.He was one of Portland's well known pioneers and was for many years engaged in the shoe business.He had been retired for several years,His deat was caused from an internal ailment which was incurable.A wife and one son suvive him.The latter,A.J.Brady,of seattle,is circulating manager of the Post Intelligencer.The funeral will take place at the cathedral at 9:30 Friday morning,the interment to be made in St.Mary's cemetery on the East Side.
