Morning Oregonian September 14, 1904
George Dunn,a young man who has been confined in the County Jail for some 
time  past on a charge of stealing $5 in nickels from a telephone box in the 
Kingston House at the corner of Third and Taylor streets,was let off by Judge 
George yesterday with a fine of $25. This was done on the reccemendation of 
Deputy District Attorney Adams,who permitted Dunn to enter a plea of guilty to 
simple larceny.The people in the Kingston House who lost the money,it is 
reported,did not desire to prosecute.A charge against Dunn of committing a 
similar offense in a house at the corner of Sixth and Couch streets was 
dismissed for lack of evidence.
