Rev.W.H.Selleck,pastor of the Sunnyside M.E.Churh,conducted the funeral.There was a large attendance of relatives and friends.The decased was about 40 years of age and left a wife and several children. Mr.Kelly was educated as a minister and for a time was connected with the United Evangelical denominayion.He wa spastor for several months of the First United Evangelical Church,on East Tenth and Sherman streets,but left the pupil because of failing health.He went back to the ministry after he had recovered,for about two years,when he was again complelled to relinquish pastoral work,and he became connected with the automobile -hose of his brother,J.B.Kelly,where he was employed at the time of the accident.Mr.Kelly was a native born Oregonian,a member of the Kelly Clan,and hisfather was a well known pioneer.He was highly respected by all who knew him,and wherever he has been stationed as pastor in churches in the state the news of his sudden and tragic death was received with deepest sorrow.The burial was at PLeasant Home,where his father,Archon Kelly,settled in pioneer days.
