Mrsa.H.Wallace was the complainant,and she stated when the warrant was issue that lived in Pendleton.While there she was presented with some jewelry by Willaiim Turner,who wanted to marry her.She accepted the gifts,and shortly afterwards came to Porltnad.Then her admirer became mad and sent Carl to this city to demand the return of the jewelry.he paid a visit to Mrs.Wallace,but she at firt declined to have anything to do with him.He then threatened her with arrest,and picturing the her the sufferings she would have to undergo in jail,he finally induced her to give up the property.Mrs.Wallace informed some friends of the proceedings and they advised her to have Carl arrested.This she did,nad as soon as Turner heard of it he came to Portland and called upon Mrs.Wallace.The result was the dismissal of Carl's case File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/or/multnomah/newspapers/hiswinni148gnw.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/orfiles/ File size: 1.6 Kb
