Monring Oregonian September 13, 1904
One week was allowed Peter Grant and Nate Solomon to plead to a charge of 
conducting a keno game at the Portland Club in July last.They were held to 
answer by Justice of the Pece Seton,in whose court the defendants had a 
preliminary examination.Grant and Solomon through their attorney,will attempt 
to prove at the trial that keno is not included in the statutes of Oregon as a 
gambling game,and that it is,therefore,not unlawful.Judge Seton passed this 
question up to the upper court.
