The Oregonian April 23, 1893
Miss Emma Bryon was given a pleasant surprise party in honor of her 10th 
birthday, at her home on Thursday evening. An elegant lunch was served at 8 
o'clock. The remainder of the evening was spent in games. Those prresent were: 
Mr. and Mrs. Nutting, Misses Grace Churchill, Caroline Arnold, Frances Elger, 
Bertha Tammer, Kate Arnold, Bessie Nickum, Edith King, Lillian Whitton, Cora 
Pomeroy, Emma Bryon and Ella Pomeroy; Messrs. George Finch, Clyde Nickum, 
Arthur Satterlee, Fred Eyman, Percy Davis, Chancelor Finch, Johnny 
Spitzenberger, Masters Alex Churchill and Earl Butler.
