The Oregonian April 23, 1893
An Italian wiht an unpronouncable name, was charged with trespassing on the 
grounds of the O.R.&N. Co. He pleaded not guilty and his case was set for 
tomorrow. This is another case where the company is endeavoring to put 
squatters off its land in Marquam Gulch.

L.Wilson and C.D. Wise, who created a disturbance in fron of the Perkins hotel 
Firday morning by firing off pistols, and were arrested by Officer Keith, had 
the cases against them dismissed.
