Morning Oregonian August 4, 1904
W.E.Halvor,clerk at Substation B.,Upper Albina,formerly assistant 
superintendent of the city delivery at the Portland Post Office,was restored 
to the latter position yesterday,which he lost by becoming the object of 
Postmaster Bancroft's displeasure. J.M.Jones has returned to his old duties as 
foreman of the city delivery.It will be recalled that Halvor got into trouble 
with Postmaster Bancroft in connection with the incident of the petition 
favorable to the interests of Charles A.Burkhardt.
