James Resbury entertained a few of their friends last Saturday evening in honor of their second wedding anniversary.nThose present were: Mr. and Mrs. Peter Brener, Mr. and Mrs. A.Gerfin, Mr. and Mrs. James Rice,Mr. and Mrs. Charles McDowall,Miss Kennedy, Mr. and Mrs. Barber and Mr. and Mrs. Peterson. Mrs.Wiley Edwards, of Newberg, celebrated her 64th birthday on August 1. Many gifts were receivedThose present from Portland were: Mrs.Julia Wilcox, Mrs.Luct Bennett, Mrs.EmmaGuild, Miss Minta Wilcox, d Mrs. A.C.Pool. The president of the John Burrough's Society, Miss Metcalfe, accompanied by several members of the society, took an outing to Oregon City last Wednesday evening . The members of the club were the guests of Miss Fannie G.Porter. Mr. and Mrs. R.F.Oakes,who are visiting in Butte,Mont., were guests of honor at a garden party given recently by Mr. and Mrs. Jesse B.Roots. Mr. and Mrs. R.R.Giltner entertained J.H.Gravely and family, of Kansas City, with a launch part on the Willamette on Saturday evening.
