Morning Oregonian September 4, 1904
Mary j.Mahon has sued J.H.Smith to recover $420 on a note executed in favor of 
Alex Thomas in 1893.It is alleged that the statute of limitations had not 
expired because Smith renewed the note by paying $1 uon it on November 31,1898.
