Hoyt Brown, Portland dentist; his son, Hoyt Brown, 14, and Roscoe K. Wright of Portland were severely burned when their boat exploded and burned near here last night. Mrs. Wright was not burned, but suffered shock from the harrowing experience, and was hysterical for a time. Burns of the three were not serious, it was stated at their hospital today. The four were in Dr. Brown's converted life boat cruiser coming down the Lewis and Clark river last night when the craft hit a log boom. The boat tilted and apparently spilled gasoline from the carburetor into the bilge.
