Morning Oregonian October 29, 1904
Three days ago J.H.Way reported to the District Attorney that his son in law 
came home drunk,beat his wife and ran away to a saloon,where he hid with his 3 
year old boy. A warrant was issued for William Jenkins,the supposedly erring 
son in law, and he was taken into custody. yesterdday Mrs.Jenkins appeared in 
the Municipal Court, and declared that her husband was a kind man and had 
never beaten her and that the trouble was caused by her father's uncalled for 
interference.Jenkins was thereto released.
