The Oregonian April 25, 1893
Ed Koposhki and Chris Wohlgemoth, newsboys not over 12 years of age, were up 
in police ourt yesterday on a charge of stealing Oregonians from doorsteps. 
Both admitted the offense and between their sobs declared taht they would 
never committ theft again. The parents of the boys were in court and stated 
that they would not permit the boys to sell papers again, but would send them 
to school and keep them at home mornings and evenings. Judge Carey then gave 
them a little lecture and pemritted them to go home.
