The Oregonian April 23, 1893
Their Boat Capsized While Sail Was Being Hoisted.
Astoria,Or. April 23- Yesterday morning boat No.14, belonging to the Columbia 
River Packing Company, was picked up on the rocks off Point Ellis on the 
Washington side. The net and fixtures were in the boat. It was evidently 
capsized while the men were in the act of hoisting a sail. Both occupants were 
drowned. Their bodies have not been recovered. They were two brothers, 
Italians, supposed to have been the Marcellas. Both were newcomers to America. 
One fo the boats belonging to A.Booth's cannery was sunk and lost yesterday at 
Hungry Harbor. The men and net were saved.
