Burglars are operating in the city again, and two burglaries occurrred during the earl yhours of yesterday morning. E.C.Smith,604 Thurman street, and Roy W.Powers,84 1/2 Russell street, are the victims of the burglars, and both complained to the police yesterday morning. That the same man or men entered both places is indicated by the manner of operation. At both places the front doors were unlocked by skeleton keys, while egress was made through rear windowds. That the burglar is not a novice is indicated by the manner in which a key was turne in its lockuntil it could be pushed out to make room for a skeleton key.No noise was made at either house by the intruders. From Powers place $67 in cash was secured. The marauder was brave enough to enter the bedroom in which Powers was sleeping and to take the money from his pockets. The theft was so carefully doen that the sleeping man was not disturbed.Nothing was missing from Smith's household.
