Mr.and Mrs. A.B.Manley celebrated the tenth anniversary of their marriage on 
Tuesday night,and their cozy home was the scene of joyful festivitis among the 
many griends gathered to take part inobservance of their tin wedding.Mr.Manley 
had just returned from the legislature,where,as on of the MUltnomah 
dleegation,he took an activ epart  in endeavering to secure a free bridge for 
Albine,and although prevented from accomplishing hsi object by the governor's 
veto,his friends habe a high appreciation of his work.Among the many articles 
presented to Mr. and Mrs. Manley was a huge bridge,made entirely of tin.One 
end of the structure was smashed in,and attached thereto was a little tin card 
labeled "Governor's Veto". Across the roadway of the miniature desgin was also 
the following notice-"Free bridge-$10 fine for riding or drivign at once more 
than five cows,one governor,three hogs,tow asses or one bridge commissioner 
over the bridge." Following the presentation of the tin bridge came a huge tin 
ferryboat,labeled Alnina Free Ferry,and named the A.B.manley.
