Oregonian March 16, 1893
On Friday evening the many friends of Mr.and Mrs.E.W.Godfrey gave them a very 
enjoyable surprise party at their residence in Albina,the occasion being the 
anniversary of their wedding.The presents,pretty and unique,were many.The 
evening was passed in games and music.which were ighly enjoyed.Those present 
were:Mr.and Mrs.E.W.Godfrey,Mrs.Godfrey,Mr.and 
Mrs.J.F.Sanders,Mrs.Dunseth,Mr.and Mrs.Gassett,Mr.and Mrs.Burdick,Mr.and 
Mrs.E.A.Ladd,Mrand Mrs.Major,Mr.and Mrs.Eva Glenn,Mises Annie Dunseth,Helen 
Sanborn,May Segur,Lulu Miller,Grace Sanborn,Minnie Heath,Jessie Kirkland,Emily 
NOrth,Fay Barnes,Minnie Rose,Ruby Ladd,and Messrs. Max Godfrey,M.Russell 
Linfeld,Charles Hill,O.B.Dolan,J.Keller,Arthur Dunseth,Spencer Burns,Henry 
Ross,Logan Bacon,and Roy Ladd
