Mrs.Gus Routh drew her own conclusion as to the possible nature of the business engagement and, with her child in her arms started out on reconnaisance. Going to a saloon near Third and Columbia streets she eplored the winerooms, and her curiosity was rewarded by the sounds of her husband's voice pouring endearing words into the willing ears of a woman named Ella Johnson.Bursting in on te scene Mrs.Routh caused a panic of an approved order,Routh and the woman fled precipately before the wronged woman's wrath.Mrs.Routh went in pursuit in an aeffort to entangle her fingers in the tresses of her rival, but the Johnson womanwas the better sprinter. It chanced that Officers White and Carr heard the sounds of disturbance and joined in the chase after the fleeting woman, who ran into the Union Laundry, where she was captured. She and Routh were taken to the police station on charges of diorderly conduct, although a more serious charge may later be substituted. Both were locked up in the city bastille.
