Monring Oregonian September 22, 1904
Albany,Or.,Sept.21-(Special)- Sheriff Tom Word,of Multnomah County,and Sheriff 
R.L.White,of Linn County,are scouring the county for an escaped prisoner from 
the Multnomah County Jail. The man was a trusty,and escaped some time 
ago.Nothing was heard from him for some time,when Sheriff White learned that 
the man was visiting some relatives near Lebanon,in this county. The man has 
not yet been found.
