Death of Mrs.John H.Allen- Mrs. Luoisa A.Allen,wife of Rev.John H.Allen,pastor 
of the Berea Mission,in this city,died Thirsday,afte rlingering illness. Mrs. 
Allen was the daughter of Thaddeus and Susan McCoy,bonr January 20,1845,in 
Versailles,Brown county,Ill., for ten years a teacher and several years a 
principle of the schools in that place. September 24,1874 she was married to 
Mr. Allen and lived happily for nearly 30 years.She was a true Christian and 
ehr life on of exalted piety.Her death is a great loss,and she will be 
sincerely mourned by many friends.
