Coleman Marks, of Mark's Prairie, was held from the Presbyterian church of Aurora last Thursday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock with a large attendance many people being unable to gain entrance to the church. The Rev S. E. Long, former pastor of the Hubbard Congregational Church, officiated, his subject being "Mother". Mrs Mark was a very devoted mother and very highly spoken of by all who knew her. Several favorite selections of Mrs. Marks were sung during the service, among these "Jesus is Calling Meet Me Yhere" followed by a vocal solo, "The Christian's Good Night" by Avon Jesse of Canby. The body was laid to rest in the Old Colony cemetary beside her parents, the late Mr and Mrs Samuel Wolfer, Oregon Pioneers. The grave was completely covered with many handsome floral tributes. The Pallbearers were R.W Zimmerman, D. B.Yoder, Frank L Miller, Edward S Wolfer, and Mr Stauffer. Several people from oregon City attended the services, among whom were Judge and Mrs Grant D Dimick, the latter a sister of Mrs Marks; Judge J. U.Campbell; County Recorder J .G. Noe; Sherriff W. J. Wilson; Joseph Lynch; Mrs and Mrs E. L. Johnson; old time friends of the family as well as many from Canby.
