The cause of his death is said to be heart failure. He has been sick a long time, and at different periods as not in his right mind. He had evidently arisen early to feed his stock, and was stricken while thus engaged. McKibben served in the Army 20 months,in Company C, Eleventh Minnesota Infantry. He had resided in Oregon 17 years. He was an honest, industrious man, and leaves a wife and nine children, five girls and four boys. Funeral services will be held tomorrow under the auspice of the Appomattox Post No.34, of which he was a member.
