McLaughlin, aged 58 years, member of Ben Butler Post, No.57, G.A.R. Friends and all comrades of the G.A.R. are invited to attend the funeral services, which will be held at Finley's chapel, at 10 a.m., Tuesdsy, October 4. Internment in G.A.R. plot, Greenwood Cemetery. Morning Oregonian October 3, 1904 Death Of An Old Soldier - Charles B. McLaughlin, a veteran of the Civil War, died yesterday at his home, 989 Corbett street, at the age of 56 years. He was a member of the Ben Butler Post No. 57, G.A.R., of Sunnyside. During the war he was a member of Company G,Fourteenth Illinois Infantry. The funeral will be held today at 10 a.m. and internment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
