Morning Oregonian November 4, 1904

Scappoose Man dead - J. V. Morgan, aged 45, of Scappoose, Or., died at Good Samaritan's Hospital at 9:30 o'clock last night.  He was brought to the hospital on October 31st, suffering from pneumonia, and medical aid was powerless to save him.  The remains will be taken to Scappoose for burial

Morgan - In this city, Nov 4, 1904, John D. Morgan, of Scappoose, Or., aged 40 years.  Remains will be shipped to his former home for internment today by J. P. Finley & Son
