It was a large concours of friends that assembled last Monday to attend the 
funeral of Bessie,the youngest daughter of Colonel and Mrs.D.D.Neer.The 
service were held at the family residence.Rev.George Van Waters red the burial 
ritual of the Episcopal church,and ppropriate selections were sung by a choir 
consisting f Mrs.Beveridge,Miss Lola Bullock and Messrs.Bullock and 
Miller.Conspicouis among the numerous floral offerings was a large pillow of 
roses,chrysanthemum,similax and ferns,opun which rested a cros of violets and 
rosebuds.It was the expression of regret sent by the Benevolent Protective 
Order of Elks.The internment was made in the G.A.R. cemetary.
