Burned to death
The bright four year old daughter of Mr. Jake Nelson,of Mount Scott, was 
buried in Multnomah cemetary yesterday with appropriate services. Several 
weeks ago the little girl was standing near the open fire place in a room by 
herself.her father was outside the house and her grandmother was in the next 
room. The child suddenly cried out, and her grandmother,running to her saw her 
clothes were on fire.She quickly wrapped a blanket around the child and 
extinguished the flames,but not before her body was severelt burned. She 
lingered for several weeks in great suffering.
