Thomas E.Richet was born in England in 1855.He came to America 27 years ago,settling first in Canada,where he lived for four years.From Canada,he came to Portland where,with his brother,he started a coffee and spice factory.The firm succeeded in business and gradually broadened until they possessed their present establishment on Front street.Mr.richet was well known among Portland's business men.He leaves ot wourn his loss his aged mother,Mrs.Mary Richet,two brothers,Frank and August Richet,and one sister,Mrs.W.Cucash,all of this city.
