Monmouth,Or.,Nov 4-(Special)-Miss Alta Savage  had been a student at the State 
Normal during the past two years and would have completed her work in June.She 
was doing her teaching work in the public school at Independence.She had not 
been well for a day or so and by mistake took carbolic acid and died within a 
short time.She was a bright,amiable young woman.
