Slaughterback Captain William C. Slaughterback, 60, who has been on disability pension from the fire bureau since February 17, 1920, died yesterday at his home at Leonard street and St. Johns avenue. Captain Slaughterback had been in the fire bureau since 1898 and was the first captain of engin company No. 6, Twentysecond and Nicolai streets. The funeral services will be conducted from Miller & Tracy’s chapel at 2 P.M. today with Rev. C.C. McCollough officiating. Besides his widow, a son, Harry Slaughterback, and a daughter, Mrs. Hazel Tye, survive. Additional Comments: His widow's name was Dora D. Lashbaugh.
