Because her husband,John E.Hamlin,was sentenced to six years in the 
penitentiary in November,1903,at Hillsboro,Edith M.Hamlin was granted a 
divorce and allowed to resume her maiden name,Colman.They were married at San 
Fransisco in August,1902
