Drunkenness and cruel treatment was testified to by Anna A.McNamee,who was 
given a decree against John McNamee,a racehorse man.They were married in Ogden 
in 1899.Mrs.Mcnamee informed the court taht the defendant went on protracted 
sprees and spent a great a deal of money that way,and also money she earned.He 
came home at all hours of the night,and frequently struck her with his 
clenched fist. On September 1 last,she said,McNamee came to their rooms on 
Morrison street,and, because she refused to give him money to continue his 
debauch,he proceeded to smash all the furniture,and she was compelled to send 
for the police and have him arresdted.Upon his release he went to San 
Fransisco.There are no children.
