Bell, was solemnized on Wednesday evening at Trinity church, in the presence of a very large number of friends. The decorations were very artistic. The broad stairway leading to the west entrance was filled on either side with tropical plants, and the broad isle (sic) at the end of the church was embellished in a similar fashion. About the chancel, in front of the altar, surrounding the lecturn, in the found, and about the organ, was massed tropical foliage of many different varieties. On the altar were two tall silver urns filled with white chrysanthemums, while stretching between the urns was a graceful festoon of smilax. Pendent from the chandeliers, on either side of the chancel, were large clusters of chrysanthemums tied with long, white satin streamers. At 8:30 the wedding party entered. First came the ushers, Messrs. J. A. Cranston, F. H. Page and McCormick, followed by the maid of honor, Miss Allie Jackson, who walked alone, and then came the bride, accompanied by her father. At the altar they found the groom and his best man, Mr. O. F. Paton, awaiting them. The Episcopalian marriage service was celebrated by the Rev. Thomas L. Cole, during which the organist played a very beautiful selection. At the conclusion of the ceremony a reception was held at the residence of the bride's father, 609 Hoyt street, to which the relatives and a few friends were invited. The house was prettily decorated with cut flowers and brightened up by autumnal-tinted maple boughs. After congratulations, a delicious supper was served. During the evening an orchestra of mandolins and guitars discoursed sweet music, which added much to the enjoyment of the festive occasion. The bride, who is a very handsome brunette, was attired in a wedding robe of white corded silk, made quite plain, the only ornamentation being a puffing of silk about the edge of the skirt, while the waist was trimmed with white lace. The sleeves were bouffant, and reached nearly to the wrist. The coiffure was dressed high, and from it depended the long veil of white silk moleine, held in place by a tiny bunch of natural orange blossoms. On the left shoulder a bunch of the same sweet blossoms was worn, and the bridal bouquet was of Nephetos roses, jessamine and maiden's-hair fern. Miss Jackson was exceedingly pretty in a gown of soft white silk. She carried a bouquet of white roses, tied with white satin ribbons. Mrs. Bell was becomingly attired in black silk, the front of the waist being of white silk. In her coiffure she wore a white comb. Those present at the house were: Colonel and Mrs. J. C. Boll, Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Davis, Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Maxwell, Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Boll, of Salem; Captain and Mrs. J. H. D. Gray, of Astoria; Judge and Mrs. George H. Burnett, of Salem; Judge and Mrs. B. F. Bouham,. . .
