The house was decorated for the wedding with pink roses, white tulle and maidenhair, these being arranged most effectively against a background of huckleberry branches. During the services the bridal aprty stood in front of a horizontal window which has a deep sill and lent itself admirably to carrying out the idea of an altar, the niche being lighted with candles. Candles were placed also in every available place among the decorations of the stairs and archways, where Autmn leaves gave a brilliant effect. In the dining room there were red wild rose berries on the walls, and on the chandelier, where scarlet tulle was added. Mrs. William Knight played the Lohengrin and Mendelssohn wedding marches. The bride was beautiful in her wedding gown, a daintily girlish combination of chiffon net and mechlin lace. The bodice was made with a dep bertha, in fichu effect, of the lace, and the 1830 skirt was made with deep frills, each edged with lace, all the way up to the waist. She wore Mr. Brown's gift, a Zeta Psi pin, in diamonds,to fasten her tulle veil, and also an exquisiteamethyst necklace and brooch. Miss Fanny Brown, who was maid of honor, attracted nearly as much attention as the bride, looking very charming in an elaborately hand made gown of white imported China sil.Miss Edna Jeffery,as bridesmaid, wore white pina cloth, trimmed with embroidered medallions and forget me nots. The bouquets carried by the bride and her attendants were arranged in an altogether new way and were very Frenchy. The bride's was a princess shower of white roses and duchess lace, Miss Brown's a muff of maidenhair and stephanotis. Mrs. Brown's going away gon, which was definitly becoming, was of blue cloth, with a stunning little black velevet hat and a big bunch of early violets. They have gone to the Puget Sound and British Columbia cities for their honeymoon, and upon their return will be at home at the Morton.
