An Elopement Case
PLeasant Home has another tender sensation to talk about.It has leaked out 
that two quite prominent young people were married on the sly about Christmas 
time.Miss Josie Carpenter and C.M.Lake are the couple in question.Miss 
Carpenter had been stopping in East Portland for some time beofre 
Christmas.Young Lake went ot Portland,and from there he and Miss Carpenter 
proceeded to Vancouver,where they were quietly married.They have managed to 
keep their marriage a secret until recently.Both are estimable young people in 
the neighorhood,wll connected,and have many friends who,now that the secret is 
out,wish them abundant happiness
