The Rev. W.R. Powell officiated. The parlor, where the ceremony took place, was exceedingly beautiful in Oregon holly and Autumn leaves, the bridal party standing under a canopy of greens and white. The dining room, where ices were served by Mrs.Apperson, assisted by Mrs.Armstrong,Miss McAllister and Miss Stringer, wa sdecorated with pink and white roses. The room where punch was served by Miss Agness Foster and Miss May Smit, was decorated with large American flags and ferns. The wedding march fom Mendelssohn was played by Mrs. MIller, announcing the bridal aprty. The groom, with his best man,Mr.James Dowling, entered first, followed by the maid of honor,Miss Florence Dowling, who wore white organdy with yellow chrsythanemums. Then came the bride, on the arm of her uncle,Mr.Ed Dalton, who gave her away. The bride was beautiful in a white silk gown, trimmed with duchesse lace, and wore a diamond sunburst. She carried a bouquet of bride's roses tied with tulle. Only the immediate family was present during the ceremony,a reception being held from 8:30 to 11 o'clock. Mr.Dowling is a prominent member of the Second Oregon Volunteer Regiment, and both he and his bride have many friends in the city. Miss Lului Camplon and Miss Sara Stringer caught the bouquet. Mr. and mrs. Foster left the same evening for the Sound cities for their honeymoon and will be at home to their friends after November 15 at 291 Burnside street.
