All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/or/orfiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Sheron Faynor nitwittwin@hotmail.com April 12, 2008, 2:32 pm Morning Oregonian September 4,1904 On wednesday evening,August 24,a very pretty wedding took place at the home of Dr.J.M.Fox,in Irvington,when his daughter,Miss Lockey,was united in marriage with Dr.Clarence McClanahan,of Chicago.The ceremony was performed at 8:30,Rev.Dr.Powell officiating.The rooms were beautifully decorated with vines and pink rosesand the little flower girl,Miss Antoinette Mears, who was the only attendant,carried a large bouquet of pink baby roses. The bride's dress was silk mull,hand embroidered in Switzerland.She wore a vei fastened with jassamine and a shower bouquet of jassamine and bride roses.Dr.Fox gave his daughter away.In the dining room the table was decorated with pink roses and asparagus fer,and broad streamers of pink ribbons extended from the corner of the table to the chandelier.Miss nelly Fox,Miss Lilly Fox,and Mrs.Francis St.J. Fox assisted in serving.After the reception Dr. and Mrs.McLanahan took the evening train for Victoria.They will live in Chicago,where Dr.McClanahan has just furnished a handsome new home.
