All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/or/orfiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Sheron Faynor nitwittwin@hotmai.com January 8, 2008, 12:20 am Morning Oregonian Novermber 20,1904 On Wednesday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Harris, their daughter,Miss Anna Elizabeth, was united in marriage to Matthew Gvurtz, only their immediate relatives of the two families being present.Alexander Gevurtz was best man, and Ziporah Harris, sister of the bride, played the wedding march,which she composed especially for the occasion. The reception hall and parlor were elaborately decorated in green and white, the ceilings being quite conccealed with ivy. Where the bridal party stood, netting filled with white chrysanthemums and similax, was most effectivel yarranged in the shape of a wedding bell. The bride, a pretty bunette, was exceedngly winsom in a handsome gown of white crepe de chine. The music and dining room were beautifull decorated with pink and white chrysnathemums, and the long table at which the wedding supper was served was trimmed with pink satin ribbons and similax and lighted with pink candles. After a wedding trip Mr. and Mrs. gevurtz will make their home at 703 Everett street.
