Morning Oregonian August 7,1904
Miss Harriet Lewis and Mr. Robert Sawyer, both of Portland, were married at 
Vancouver,Wash., on July 31, in the Methodist Episcopal Church. Chaplain 
Smith, of the Nineteenth Infantry, read the marriage service, and the best man 
was Sergeant Wolfe, of the Nineteenth, in which Mr. Sawyer was a Sergeant 
during the Spanish American War. The bride was given away by her gaurdian, 
W.M.Cook, and Miss Inez Cook was maid of honor. The bride wore a dainty gown 
of pale gray French voile an dlace, and carried a bouquet of forget me nots 
and sweet peas. The guests from Portland, Mr. and Mrs. Cook, the Misses Cook 
and Mrs. B.Ll.Daly.
