Hamilton, when their only daughter, Miss Bessie may,was united in marriage by Re.W.S.Gilbert to Alexander Melville Dollar,of San Fransico, the immediate relatives and most intimate friends only being present. As the clock chimed the hour of 6,Miss Hamilton, leaning on the arm of her father, and preceded by her maid of honor,Mis Emma Waldecker, entered the parlor, where she was met by the grooom and his best man, Chauncey McDonald. Thw edding march from Menedlssohn was played by Miss Helen Brown, and during the ceremony the music was from "Cavaleria Rusticana." The oom was a beuatiful bower in green and white, the walls being covered with finerly woven netting covered with green leaves and studded with white carnations, while the ceiling was concealed from view by garlands of green interlaced in a most artistic manner. In the corner where the bridal part stood, the netting, filled with white blossoms only, was most effectively arranged, forming a three cornered canopy, whiie above was suspended a large Indian basket filled with maiden hair and asparagus ferns and white nephites rosebuds. The bride a pretty brunette, was exceedingly winsome in a handsome gown of Chinese crepe with puffings and shirrings, elaborately trimmed wiht lace. At her throat she wore a beautiful spiral brooch of pearls with diamond center, and she carried an arm bouquet of Bride rosebuds. The brid's table was set in the living room, where an elaborate supper ws daintily served. The color scheme here was red, beautiful Autumn leaves and rose slips beinf used.Large red carnations were scattered over the table, which was lighted with red shaded candles. The arrangement of the centerpiece ,a large cut glass vase of carnations was also very prominent with a profusion of beautiful roses, carnations nd pink ribbons being used very effectively.
