Oregonian March 26,1893
On Tuesday evening a very happy marriage was soemnized at the Mississippi 
avenue Congregational church in the presence of a large number of friends and 
acquaintances,when Mr.Edward L.Patton,sonof Mrs.L.C.Buchanan,and grandson of 
Father Patton,founder of the Patton Home and Patton Methodist Episcopal 
church,and Miss Bella McIntosh,were united in holy wedlock by the pasotr of 
the church,Rev.J.L.Herschner.At the proper time a wedding march was rendered 
by Miss Lillian Durham,when the wedding party,consisting of ushers,Mr.John 
Watson and Mr.J.H.Upham,the officiating clergy,the groomsman,Mr.C.F.Patton,and 
bridesmaid,Miss Katie McIntosh,and the groom and bride marched up the isle,and 
the happy couple took their place under a beautiful wedding bell covered with 
ivy.At the groom's right stood his brother,M.C.F.Patton,and at the bride's 
left stood her sister,Miss Katie McIntosh.The ceremony was very impressive.
The bride looked charming in an elegant cream crepon,trimmed with piinted 
lace.She carried bride's roses and lilies of the valley.
After the ceremonies at the church the young couple,repaired to the 
beautifully decorated residence of the bride's mother.Mrs.H.McIntosh,where a 
sumptuos wedding dinner was served and a reception tendered. Those presnt 
were:Rev. and Mrs.J.L.Hershner,Mr.and Mrs.D.F.gannit,Mr.and Mrs.D.Dupee,Mr.and 
Mrs.DaShon,Mr.and Mrs.Campbell,Mr.and Mrs.C.F.Patton,Mr.and 
Mrs.J.L.Watson,Mr.and Mrs.E.M.Sargent,Mr.and Mrs. ed Helwig,Mr.and Mrs.Will 
Patterson,Mr.and mrs.Gordon,Mr.and Mrs.Dildine,Mr.and Mrs.E.T.Simmons,Mr.and 
Mrs.J.H.Upham,Mr.and Mrs.Ed Roe,Mr.and Mrs.R.R.Erwin,Mr.and Mrs.Henry 
Nolta,Mrs.L.C.Buchanan,Mrs.H.McIntosh,Mrs.W.C.Brown,Mrs.Gault,Mrs.Stoner,Mrs.R.
Patton,Mrs.Burdock,Mrs.Dagliesh,Mrs.Johnson,Mrs.J.T.Goss,Mrs.M.Price,Mrs.C.V.Po
tter,Misses Persis Sargent,Bessie Dupee,Fern Upham,Nettie Brown,Lucy

The wedding presents were numerous and costly.
The happy couple have many friends in this city,and are at home  to them at 
834 Misiissippi avenue.
