All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/or/orfiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Sheron Faynor nitwittwin@hotmail.com September 11, 2007, 6:21 am Oregonian March 19,1839 Mr.Adlph W.Harper and Miss M.Myers,daughter of Mr.Charles W.Myers,were united in marriage at the First Presbyterian church on Thgursday afternoon.The ceremony was performed by Rev.Arthur J.Brown,in the presences of a large number of firends and relatives.The contracting parties are well known in Portland.Mr.Harper,during his residence in this city,had won a host of firends in business and socail world,and Mrs,Harper is very popular in many circels in which she moved.The wedding presents were numerous and costly,friends of the young couple being very munifecent in their remembrances. Mr.and mrs. Harper left on their wedding trip to the Sound on Thursday evening.On their return they will take up their residence in the East hills.
