Morning Oregonian October 16,1904
The marriage of Mrs. Ellen Graves Perkins and Captain Charles Plummer 
Perkins,U.S.N., a distinguished officer of the North Pacific Squadronm, was 
solemnized Saturday evening of last week at the First Congregational 
Church,the ceremony being performed by the assistant 
pastor,Rev.H.A.Stars.Immediately after the service the couple left for San 
Fransisco,where they will reside.The groom,formerly commander of the 
Concord,is now in command of the training ship Pensacola. The bride is the 
daughter of the late Judge Joh James Graves,of Baltimore,Md., and a 
granddaughter of Mrs.L.R.Rubell,of Eugene. The couple met last year in 
Astoria,and the wedding is a happy ending to the romance.
